Yanmar Digger Excavator 2.5 Tonne.

Yanmar YB201U Digger Excavator 2.5 Tonne This machine dates back to the mid 1980’s and we have owned it for the last 20 years. Three cylinder Yanmar engine, just over 7000 hours. We have changed the engine oil and oil filter every 100 hours and have handwritten records with the dates and hours listed going back to 2006. It ticks over like a sewing machine - very quiet, and it doesn’t use any oil between changes. Tracking is a bit lumpy due to worn sprockets, Both tracks are perfect, and it never throws a track off.

It comes with a 1 ft. And a 2 ft. Digging bucket, both are nearly new and made by Evans & Reid. As you would expect with a 35 odd year old machine, there is a bit of wear everywhere, but that doesn’t stop it from being very useable. Everything works as it should - it’s been totally reliable for us, and has done all the work on our smallholding and a couple of our own private building jobs.
