Schaeff-Terex Spider/walking Excavator HS-41M

Early 2000s Schaeff HS-41M Walking/Spider Excavator. The machine is self propelled by the large front tires and can be driven from site to site within reason. Schaeff was purchased by Terex not long after this machine was made, and I'll post up a video of this machine on Youtube shortly. We purchase this machine approximately four years ago to use on our very, very hilly farm. It has done amazingly well, and can go places that no other machine on earth can go.

It comes with three buckets, the one you see on it which is a clam shell variety, one 24" or so rock digging bucket, and one very wide (36"?) smooth ditching bucket. The machine functions very well, only the AC seems to be on the fritz right now, but it has a full Freon charge, but something is up with the blower switch in the cab I think. Glass is good all the way around. The big front tires have seen better days, but they hold air well, and still provide good traction for driving on dirt, gravel and hardtop. Recently changed the oi and filter, we only put 100 or so hours on it ourselves in the end.

If you watch any of the online videos, these machines get around on really steep stuff by walking with the boom. Very impressive machine all around, take jobs that no one would dream of doing, especially in hilly country.
