Power Source: Diesel
Custom Bundle: Yes
Equipment Type: Hydraulic Excavator
Modified Item: No
I’ve had this excavator for 19 years and used it around our smallholding for multiple jobs from grading to drive laying to lifting. I’m now moving on and sadly, so must it. It’s a very strong machine that’s not seen a lot of work during my ownership andcomes with a bundle of high value extras and spares included in the price. The six cylinder 6 litre Ford Dorset diesel is reliable gem and will start first time, without ether, in all temperatures. Engine hours are unknown but it runs perfectly.
All the hydraulic pumps are up to spec and maintain the required 1500 psi. Tracks are in great condition and tension up correctly with est 70% remaining. All cylinders good with no leaks. Aside from the starter, it’s 100% hydraulic with no electrics to go wrong - making it easy to service and repair. Parts can be readily obtained from commercial retailers at reasonable cost.
It’s been well maintained for pragmatic use not beauty. It had no front glass in it when I purchased it and does still not (though Cabglass can install a rubber profile surround and cut glass to fit). The seat could also do with recovering. However it’s in sound structural condition and would make a great restoration project if that’s what you’re into. Alternatively, it’s an ideal machine for a self-builder or use as an estate workhorse if you just need something strong and functional.
Starting with a low price to let the market decide final value. Note on previous sales a number of bidders put in last second marginal uplift bids only to express their disappointment at not winning the auction and asking for contact if the sale does not complete. If you want to bid late and win, then make sure your uplift is a healthy one – others will be bidding late too and this equipment will sell. No offers please – the sale will run to the end of the auction and the bundle will not be split. All my other plant and equipment will be listed over the next few weeks and has to go, so keep checking back in.
