RGL HYDRAULIC THUMBS Our super heavy duty thumbs are built to last.We have designed, engineered and manufactured our thumbs to endure the toughest of environments from forestry mounding to demolition. We use only quality materials, bushes and hydraulic rams to construct our thumbs. Our thumbs are engineered to pivot on the main quick hitch mounting pin at the end of the dipper. This mounting style eliminates the common issues related to traditional mounts where the thumb pivot is welded to the base of the dipper thus restricting the movement and altering the biting point where the thumb makes contact with your bucket/attachment. Our style ensures that whatever position you crowd your bucket/attachment to, our thumb will always make contact at the same point, ie, cutting edge,/teeth.

This design results in more usability and efficiency for the operator. A longer pin which replaces your original is supplied with the thumb to enable this mounting. Our super heavy duty thumb range has been developed to suit excavators from 13 ton up to 30 ton, though we can also build bespoke thumbs to suit your specific requirements, machine size, or to suit a particular bucket or attachment. All we require is for you to fill out this form with your dimensions, sign it and scan or photograph it, then send back to us so we can start making your thumb.
