Drott Traxcavator Excavator Skid Steer Caterpillar 933 (No Reserve)

Caterpillar 933 drott traxcavator Old school beast of a machine in good operating condition for age. Big beastie about six tonne, not for the faint hearted or hobby farmers! ? Owned this machine for ten years or so and has never failed to start or do a hard days work when needed. No hour meter on machine so I'm not sure of total hours. Selling the property soon and heading to the coast to go fishing so all the big property 'toys' need to go.

'Old school' as in, levers and pedals everywhere to operate, but very straight forward to operate when you have had an hour or two at the helm. Four forward gears and two reverse with good main and steering clutches. Steering brakes still operating but could do with a turn or two on the adjustment. I have a full workshop manual kicking about somewhere that goes with it too. A little smokey on a cold start, but clears up after a minute or two, and burns nicely while working.

Strong old motor, fires on all cylinders and starts first time. All photos were taken today, with the engine running shortly after a cold start. Good hydraulics, rams and hoses. Couple of teeth missing on the bucket, but I had it rebuilt when I got it so, very sound. Walking gear in very good condition, tracks excellent, drive wheel and rollers in good nik, and track tensioners easy to operate.

Cooling system replaced by previous owner, to an aluminium radiator, electric fan and electric water pump. Which has performed flawlessly since I've had it. It coped with bloody hard work on hot summer days much better than I did! Original 12v generator has been changed to an alternator and works fine, charging well. Beastie does not come with a battery as I have borrowed mine from my bobcat until she's loaded on a truck, upon which the battery comes back out.

I think I still have the generator somewhere and if found comes with her. Obviously she's an old girl, so don't expect shiny paint, air conditioning and a 50 000hr warranty, all I've done is pull it out of the shed and washed off some dust. Nothing hidden here! Happy to demonstrate it working, so more than welcome to show you around before you bid. Definitely not a lawn ornament as she has plenty of grunt left in her!
