Well folks, heres a chance to get a good machine at a very reasonable price. Beleive cat told me it was a 1988, my serial guide says 1989, take your pick. Model is a 214B. Took this in a while back, had one problem with it I just haven't gotten around to figuring out so figured I'd list it just the way it is. It does not seem to want to shift into low range on the hydrostatic trans.
It is most likely something simple, was working when traded in but does not now. Hopefully just a switch or wire or????? It does operate just the way it is, and drives just fine except if you have a steep hill to climb, it will eventually stop due to it not going into low. On level and light inclines it is fine. Starts and runs exceptionally well for age.
Good hydraulic power. Has a wain roy style wrist and get this, even it is pretty tight! Not bad for a rig with over 18,000 hours. Has a good digging bucket and the clean up bucket shown on it. In the dig bucket you'll also see a spare final drive that goes with it.
Really decent machine for the age and even the tin work is all pretty straight. Has outriggers which all work as well, you can run them individually or all together. Good tires as seen. Pictures are current and yes this is a dealer owned unit in my yard. Not a broker that lists the machine as his own and knows nothing about it!
(lots of those guys on here) I am offering it for $19900 or make me a good offer and you just may own it. Selling as is, how is. Can help arrange shipping in the northeast at buyers cost but will be expensive as it needs to to on a lowboy and will take the whole load. Machine weight I am not sure of, I have seen specs ranging from 35k to 40k lbs. So should be somewhere in that range.
Payment by wire usually clears the quickest. Cash in hand fine as well. A check of any type will take a minimum of two weeks to clear and possibly more. Sorry, lots of fake check scams out there and the banks often won't even tell you if they originated the check. Feel free to call with any questions or to come look at before making an offer at phone.
Vt sales tax applies if picked up by buyer. If hauled out of state by carrier with proper paperwork then exempt from sales tax. All Vt buyers will pay sales tax unless resale exempt. Sorry, Vt does not recognize farm exemptions on construction equipment. Please note exporters welcome but will not containerize here, sorry not set up for it.
