Equipment Type: Mini Excavator
Up for sale is the:Kubota K008-3(has retractable tracks and can fit through a very small gate opening etc.)VERY STRONG for it's size and I was amazed when I pulled some tree stumps with it.-Kubota Diesel D722 (less then 50 hours on rebuilt engine)-New Tracks (adjusted to factory specs per the service manual)-New Undercarriage Bottom Track Roller Assemblies (OEM parts) (ALL 4 new roller assemblies installed)-NEW BATTERY-Rebuilt Engine (not completely rebuilt but new (OEM) parts installed. Rings, valves and more. (See description below)-New rings-Newly installed (used) connecting rods. Well within manufacturers specifications. Connecting rods were measured with a micrometer and well within manufactures specifications VERY GOOD NEWISH connecting rods and bearings.
-Rebuilt injectors were pressure tested to manufactures specifications. Spray pattern and pressure leak down tests were perfect per manufacturers specifications-Rebuild Head lightly resurfaced-NEW valves (OEM)-Valve seats were cut to manufacturers factory specifications and pressure tested, and tested for concentricity to confirm good seal and seat.-New (OEM) head gasket installed and torqued to manufactures specifications.-Hydraulic tank was removed and cleaned, and NEW Hydraulic fluid filled with spec fluid.-Fuel tank cleaned and fresh fuel added.-Oil changed and new filter -(Full Synthetic for diesel engines was used - the good stuff)-Air filter recently replaced and in clean/newish condition. NOTE: Cylinder walls were lightly honed/deglazed and were "well within spec" little wear except for the deglazing. Background about this machine. This unit was purchased at auction and was being sold as a good running machine. On the day of the auction it was a very cold day and right before they drove it through the live auction it was blowing white smoke. So they changed the listing to a parts/no start machineAs I said it was a cold day and what I suspect happened was that the auction personal attempted to start with starting fluid. This is common when a battery is low or hard start diesels on cold days. Anyhow, if they overload with ether/starting fluid then it will bend a rod because you can't compress liquid.
This causes a hydraulic bending of the rod. VERY COMMON ISSUE.I removed this engine and (completely) dismantled every single part. I check every single part with micrometers and replaced as needed per manufactures specs. To be clear there are NO parts even close to getting near the acceptable limit and only "well within specs". Anything needing replacement was replaced.
Conclusion / short version of the engine inspection and parts: 2) connecting rods were bent and replacing (as suspected) 1) injector needing cleaning and repair and all injectors pressure tested for trigger and pattern before installing them. 1) block needed honing / deglazing 1) new rings installed mostly precautionary and not because they were out of spec. 1) new piston installed because of a questionable scratch near the ring seal groove that I did not feel comfortable about. 6) new valves 6)valve seats re cut to spec.I replaced ALL needed parts with only (OEM) parts.2 connecting rods were indeed bent as I expected.I installed new rings, 2 connecting rods and 1 new piston. The piston was within spec but had one very small scratch I didn't like so I replaced it with a new OEM piston.I tested every single part on the engine with precise micrometers. All were WELL within , manufactures specs and I replace anything that was even leaning toward 60% wear.
All specs above 70% levels not to mention the new OEM parts added. To those who do not know what the term means "Well within spec".For me this means not worn out toward the lower end of the spec but use and wear or use is more like only 20-30% of the use. Therefore well within spec means lots of use left like 70%+ usage left on the machine etc.I know I'm restating it but wanted you to know the REAL condition of this compared to one that has lots of wear and has never been checked or confirmed. So in short - ALL parts were well within manufacture specs.Come take it for a spin and see for your selfIt is READY to work and will perform as expected. No leaks, No smoke , NO burning oil etc. You will have no problems with this machine and will be very pleased. The only thing I didn't do was some touch up paint which I would have eventually gotten but just couldn't get to it.
Being SOLD AS-IS, AS DESCRIBED and AS SHOWN in the images. If you are close to me I can deliver after payment and/or inspection of the item but contact me before bidding to go over those details. Thanks for looking.
