Bundle Description: Backhoe / Skidder / Excavator ??? + Trailer + Wagon + Tools & Parts
NO RESERVEUp for sale is what is otherwise known as the Dragon.A 4X4 Diesel Kubota tractor B5200D Ser.#61977 which says to be a 1987? Which has been modified to be a backhoe, skidder, and excavator & a cherry picker INCLUDED is a tandem on demand/full tilt trailer that was built specifically to haul the dragon & up to 3 pickup loads of firewood if packed/2 if tossed PLUS the two different sized ditch digging buckets, specialty tools & parts. Retired now & the old family farm is being sold so hence this sale! Here's a great machine for anyone with a bit of wooded land. We used it to extract downed firewood and clean up the brush making huge tall burn piles.
It can handle pretty good sized logs as seen in last photo. Occasionally the "huge" one's would have to be cut into splitting lengths and then lifted but never had one it couldn't handle. It's not tiny but is a compact so pretty maneuverable in the woods. Being able to drive forward towards your objective and grapple what you're after is nice. We used it to dig and clean out several water ways/ditches we have there on the farm, even cleared a corn stalk damn the beavers made once along the creek.
Grapple reaches out about 8 foot from the front of the tractor and could reach under the tractor if needed. Used it to clean up that fallen barn you see in the back ground in one of the pics as well used for a cherry picker to pull & install my diesel jeep engine. It's pretty versatile and could be used to make an income. First time we used it we swore it did a day or two worth of work in just around hour cleaning up brush & making a burn pile. This is a pretty sweet deal getting the dragon & a way to haul it, the trailer, plus the parts & tools.
The wagon you see in some photos was dropped from the lot in this listing in order to lower the price but is still available for an additional $750, a new wagon frame cost upward of $2000. Wagon frame can be broken down into four 6 foot pieces plus the four wheels so would fit in an 8 foot truck bed. Wagon bed is optional to take or leave behind or just pick up later if purchased. The newest photos of the dragon are with it's rusty color sun shade/canopy, other photos are earlier. I'll gladly go over the dragon real well with it's possible new owner since I designed & built this machine about 10 years ago.
And if not satisfied with what is seen, I'll gladly cancel the transaction. Note the dual tanks mounted atop the tractor. This is a set of air tanks from an air compressor Dragon has rear counter weights, four 100 lb. Each = 400 lbs. Situated on specialty made brackets that hang them from the main frame centered just behind each rear wheel.
Tires are great shape, 10 & 12 ply plus chains . Trailer was built specifically for hauling the Dragon & firewood. Trailer can be put in a single axel mode for lighter loads. It has full tilt plus an added heavy duty pin on ramp. Trailer tires plus spare are 10 ply, also in very great condition.
The black tote has ramps for changing tires or putting trailer into single axle mode, tire iron, etc. Tote quick mounts to trailer when dragon is not on board & a diamond mesh panel bolts back onto where you see the dragon's hitch protruding through. See photo #6 with tote & panel mounted on the trailer. Tools & parts that go with! There's a piston & bearing rebuild kit for the Kubota which is pretty far off being needed.
Last check around a year ago or so showed 430 psi per cylinder. (engine comes out with 460 per cylinder) and rebuild is recommended about at 360 psi An extra new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing (installed a new one about 8 years ago). A good used front end bevel & pinion gear which are no longer manufactured. Fuel, air, and oil filters. Chain & links for the pump drive/transfer case plus an array of hydraulic fittings.
Plus the tool to crimp & make your own lines as well as three sizes of inner seal insertion tools mainly used on the hydraulic cylinders with a few new seals. Yes the tool box is included which also has the crimping tool instruction manual, not pictured. 4 very detailed manuals for both the tractor and excavator.Dragon has just recently been thoroughly serviced plus a brake job & trans flush/new fluid 2nd last photo is a collage of photos of it's construction period & the last photo is very early on, in action before heavier tires & frame strutting was installed. Frame strutting is similar to what a front end loader has to beef up the whole machine. You can see it can handle pretty good sized logs in the last photo before the upgrade.
Logs in photo are 8 to 10 footers & believe are water oak. .
