For Sale - 1 - John Deere 330LC Excavator from our fleet. SN FF0330X080829. We have upgraded this machine and it is no longer needed at our sand and gravel operations. 2000 Model, we purchased this excavator used, several years ago and have used it daily since. It is showing 11,768 hours.
We have no way of verifying the hours but have no reason to believe that they are incorrect. The machine is in pretty good shape cosmetically. There are a few scrapes, dents and dings, as you would expect but no major denting or breakage. All of the glass is intact and the deck is clean. The counterweight is scuffed and missing paint The interior is dirty and somewhat greasy but overall in pretty good condition.
There is a hole in the bottom seat cushion about the size of a dime and a few smaller ones as well but again, nothing drastic. The inside door panel is missing as is the panel behind the seat that covers the electrical components and wiring. There is an AM FM radio and the air conditioning works and is good and cold. There is a hookup for a CB radio. All of the safety items required by MSHA are working including, horn, travel alarm, lights, wipers, etc.
The tracks were replaced fairly recently and we fill are 60%+ or better. The rails are good and round and the sprockets are not pointed at all. The pads were not replaced but are all intact and the grousers are 1-1/4" tall. The bucket is a 54" AIM with a good hard surfaced cutting edge and 5 teeth with the points attached. The lower bushings need rebuilt or replaced.
It is usable but there is some slop there. There is a fixed position AIM 4-tooth thumb that is 34" in width. It has variable settings and can be completely retracted to rest against the stick. The hoist and crowd cylinders were recently rebuilt and there is no major cylinder leakage. The rails around the top of the machine are required by MSHA as a fall prevention measure.
The center has been newly rebuilt. When the excavator was taken out of service, the crowd cylinder leaked off pretty badly. We just installed a new holding valve and it seems to be fixed. The excavator travels well and is strong on both tracks. It has a 235 HP John Deere diesel engine that was rebuilt a few years back.
It weighs about 73,000 lbs. This is a pretty good machine. It is operational and we will put in right back in service if the need arises before it sells. Often, people get rid of problematic machines and this is not the case with this one. We have plenty of dirt to try it out on.
If you purchase it and it is not as presented, I will cancel the sale and refund the money. If you have questions, contact me and I will try to help. The machine is located at our sand and gravel plant in Gallipolis Ferry, WV. We have several mining, electrical, industrial and manufacturing items for sale from over 40 years in business with a bad buying habit. If you have time, check our our store and our other items.
We add to them all the time. Thanks for looking.
