Caterpillar D8 1:7 Scale All metal radio controlled bulldozer This is a totally one-off unique model - Fully radio controlled powered by two massive electric motors independently driving each track. Two Futaba servos operate contact switches to power each motor, you can reverse or stop one track whilst forward driving the other – steers and operates just like the real thing. A 12v battery operates the motors and a smaller battery pack operates the receiver and servos. There’s even a motor that drives the cooling fan (just for show)It’s hard to appreciate the size of this model but it’s truly huge! Being of all steel construction it’s a two man lift to carry it!

The model is much more impressive to be seen in the flesh.The model was built many years ago by a highly skilled engineer, when I purchased it the model had been stood for a while in his workshop and required a small amount of restoration - The paintwork is what I would describe as good but could be improved - Please also bare in mind this is a hand built model so doesn't have that mass produced manufactured feel. The model is now ready to use or show.Being such a unique and one-off model it would make a great show piece at steam fairs and rally’s etc or a great display or advertising piece in a plant / construction office, or just a great piece for an avid collectorThe model makes such a talking point and never fails to attach the crowds and a huge amount of interest.
