Cat Caterpillar 312 Hydraulic Excavator

Elk Forest Farms, Inc. Is pleased to offer a used 1995 Cat 312 hydraulic excavator up for sale. The machine is powered by a 4-cyl. Mitsubishi turbo-diesel engine. The engine starts easy and runs out strong.

The machine has a hand throttle because the previous owner told me the dial throttle stopped working. He is unsure of the reason. The machine runs and operates strong and as it should. All hyd. Operations and functions seem to work well.

The machine has a mechanical thumb. The bucket has some play in the pins and bushings. The machine has dings and dents all around as seen in the photos. Mechanically the machine seems pretty good. The cab is missing the front lower glass.

The engine looks like it has been rebuilt or new at one time. It is a different color. I do not see any engine blowby when hot. I do not see any cracks or welds on the boom or dipper. The muffler rattles a little at low idle.

I will make time to meet with whoever wants to come and view the equipment.

I have a local third party heavy equipment repair company that is not associated with Elk Forest Farms, Inc. That can be hired by you to come and give you their representation of the item if you are too far away to come and inspect. Please contact me for further details on that service. If you are sending a transportation service to my yard for pickup please be advised I will take full responsibility in loading the item for you. I have a 36" loading dock here for your convenience.
