CAT 245 Front Shovel Excavator. Only 895 hours! This is a dirt moving beast! Comes with a 5 cubic yard tooth bucket. This front loading shovel works much better for digging into banks and stock piles than the standard excavator design.

Ideal for use in placer mining operations. The last picture shows the machine next to a CAT 225 excavator to give you a better size comparison. Caterpillar only made about 4,000 of these 245 front shovel excavators, but it uses the same parts as the standard CAT 245 excavator which are readily available. This is a 1977 model with only 895 hours on the meter. The excellent condition of the machine (see pictures) supports the meter reading.
